Marcal-völgye Hunting Society

Our hunting company is located in the Veszprém County part of the Veszprém-, Vas-, Zala County border triangle, affecting the municipalities of Dabronc, Gógánfa, Zalaerdőd, Hetyefő and Megyer settlements. Our constant watercourse is the Marcal River and the Red Water Creek, which ends to Marcal. Our hunting area size is 4300 ha, almost half of which is a coherent forest, which is mainly mixed with lumps, to a lesser extent different pine species, the other half of our area consists of intensively educated agricultural land. Among the big game species, red deer, wild boar and roe deer can find favorable living conditions here. In limited number also tiny games such as pheasons, hares, mallards and in winter sometimes wild goose pods can appear in the area. Among the predators besides the fox and badger, the golden jackal has been present for in the last few years, and they are represented im our every year in our hunting placement data. We welcome guest hunters throughout the year, both domestic and foreign persons with personal and material conditions for hunting. Our hunting lodge in located the Park of Ötvös Castle which is in the ownership of the Dabronc Municipality. Here we can welcome our hunting guests, and it also provides a venue for various hunting and civic events. Our hunting society currently consists 21 members, of which 13 have a main hunting ticket, 8 persons are working as agronomists or in public administration.
