Gyula Pap, President of the National Hungarian Hunting Chamber of Veszpr\u00e9m County, said in his speech that he was proud of the outstanding work of the local companies throughout the year and the trophies they exhibited. He said that this region, the Marcal Basin, is a model for game management at national level, where solidarity is a characteristic feature, and this is matched by the supportive and positive attitude of the municipality of S\u00fcmeg.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Mayor L\u00e1szl\u00f3 V\u00e9gh said that hunting has always been of great importance in S\u00fcmeg, and the work of the local hunters is worthy of recognition, for which the town owes nothing but thanks. Speaking on behalf of the Darnay K\u00e1lm\u00e1n Hunting Association, Zolt\u00e1n M\u00e1t\u00e9, President of the Association, said that eighteen gibbons had been presented this September, sixteen of which had been awarded medals. Four gold, five silver and seven bronze medals were won, with the average weight of the trophies exceeding eight kilograms. He added that they had worked continuously, and still do, to prevent and reduce damage to game.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Mikl\u00f3s Nagy welcomed the participants on behalf of the Marcal Valley Hunting Association, which has been operating for ten years. As he explained, of the four hunting companies present, theirs is probably the weakest, but they are not dissatisfied, as this was their third best year, based on the ten gibbons they have killed. J\u00e1nos T\u00fctt\u0151 Jr. represented the Feh\u00e9rk\u0151 Hunting Club at the trophy presentation. As he said, the September table was similar to last year, with thirty-two bulls killed. However, the lack of water and the lack of protein-rich vegetation caused by the summer drought had a big impact on the area.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Zsolt R\u00e9dei, President of the Kinizsi Hunting Association in S\u00fcmeg, drew attention to the importance of ensuring habitat conditions and professional game management.
